If I Could Turn Back Time
Time is our most precious asset.
Death transforms time into the most treasured gift.
Regret serves a harsh education on time. What some of us wouldn't do for a do-over!
Children are the best teachers of time — how fragile and fleeting it truly is — and remind us to savor the simplest moments.
Mirrors force us to stare time in the face, begging the question, how did I end up here?
What can we take away from these powerful moments?
Is it even possible to change our relationship with time, or will it forever be the thing that got away?
After all, there are bills to pay.
Kids to raise.
Careers to build (or survive).
Events to attend.
Appearances to maintain.
In all the expectation and go go go, Life happens. Time marches on. We're along for the ride.
But is there another way?
YES! There's another way.
Instead of giving time away ... learn to be with it.
Instead of surrendering time to whatever season you're in ... get ahead of it.
It's through a better relationship with time that Life has room to unfold and expand with far more intention.
Slowing down. Bearing witness. Feeling what's here. Returning to the present. Shifting your attention.
It's only from this spaciousness that time can be taken back from a future that hasn't happened yet.
It's only from this spaciousness that any of us can truly discern what's available — right now — and ours for the taking.
It's only from this spaciousness that we begin to feel in charge of our Lives rather than mindlessly letting it pass us by.
Here's an exercise we can all do to engage in this practice of taking back time.
From this halfway point in 2025, visualize the remaining months of the year. How would you like to see them unfold? How would you like to feel on December 31st? What would you like to experience between now and then? What do you need more or less of in your life?
Write down or type your answers and save them. Then watch the Magic (aka, Life) unfold! 💫
